IWM Duxford is a living airfield with a history that stretches back to the First World War. Walk through the same hangars and buildings as those who served at RAF Duxford and see a collection of historic aircraft take to the air.

  • Although there isn’t a specific sen-session, Duxford does suggest quieter times to visit. The quietest times to visit is in the afternoons after 3pm.


What to Expect:

The distance from one side of IWM Duxford to the other is approximately 1 mile or 1.6 km. There is a free site transport vehicle which is available upon request throughout the day for visitors.

There are sensory backpacks visitors can borrow these items free of charge from the Visitor Centre, they contain:
